King Stingray press shot 2022
The Yolŋu surf-rock faves will hit capital cities for a string of shows in June and July.()

Winter's set to heat up with a new national tour from King Stingray.

The Yolŋu surf-rock five-piece have announced they'll be whipping around the country this year to bring their big vibes to major cities across Australia.

Hot off a massive 2022 --- which included an ARIA win, nabbing the 2022 Australian Music Prize, a huge perfromance at Splendour In The Grass, releasing their debut album and four appearances in the Hottest 100 --- the band is getting back into the city with their 'That's Where I Wanna Be' tour.

If you've seen them live before, you'll know the unreal and unmistakable energy the Arnhem Land outfit infuses into every show they play. It's all about bringing together friendship, connection to family and storytelling through their trailblazing sound that blends ancient Indigenous melodies with tinges of psych and surf rock.

King Stingray will be bringing along 2019's Unearthed High winner George Alice and Kojonup surf-rock faves Old Mervs along for the ride, shaping the tour up to be some truly unmissable shows.

The 'That's Where I Wanna Be' tour kicks off at the Enmore Theatre in Warrang (Sydney) on June 24, before working its way around the country and winding up in Meanjin (Brisbane) on July 7.
