Cosmo's Midnight have enlisted Tkay Maidza for their latest single, 'Bang My Line', mixing the Sydney twins' funk-laden production with the Adelaide-bred rapper's unmistakeable flow. It's a real mood-setter, and fittingly, the accompanying music video features both parties just straight up vibin'. Watch/listen below.
Cosmo's Midnight, aka brothers Pat and Cosmo Liney, began writing 'Bang My Line' back in 2020, before polishing it off last year with another Australian smooth operator, Winston Surfshirt.
"In between playing darts, swimming and a few drinks we came up with this sunny, cruise-y west coast-inspired jam," they said. "It’s about waiting for your crush to ‘Bang Your Line’ because you're too spooked to make the first move."
"It’s so fitting that Tkay was keen to hop on this track as it feels like the stars were totally aligned with her moving to LA and her [ARIA winning Last Year Was Weird EPs] stylistically blending perfectly with us.”

'Bang My Line' follows on from 'Can't Do Without (My Baby)' and last year's 'Titanic'. We're guessing that we can't be too far off from Cosmo's follow-up to their ARIA Award-nom'd second album Yesteryear and 2018 debut What Comes Next.
